Rex Posted October 5, 2019 Share Posted October 5, 2019 Mt 2002 SV is back together after my bout with a smelly gas tank. Thanks to the people of Blatchat for steering me in the right direction. It did turn out to be the fuel sender gasket. CC sent me one and it got to me in the States in four days. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for all the stooping that was required, so the local Ford garage did the actual work. They had to remove the spare wheel and the roll-bar, as well as ripping out the carpet on the boot floor. They treated the car with great care and only charged me $100.00 for the whole job. The hoses were fine and if the new gasket lasts 17 years--well I can't ask for more than that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
