Fuel flow

My Crossflow runs Jenveys, fed by the standard Rover tank mounted pump and a little blue Weber Alpha fuel regulator. Works fine but in competiton use we're getting fuel starvation symptoms - but only when giving it the full beans - which I never do on the road.

How can I tell if the regulator is at issue and, do I maybe need a freer flowing regulator? I'm not sure what max flow is - how do I tell?

Help!

The standard Rover pump is marginal for fuel delivery on higher powered engines so its possible that it's a pump issue rather than a pressure issue. There is an "R500" pump upgrade to deliver greater volume. However it does sound like you could do with a fuel pressure sensor and gauge to see the pressures at WOT.

I'm using the upgraded pump and the same type of fuel pressure regulator as you on my 260bhp Duratec with no issues.
