John Vine
I bought this throttle cable (SBB 10173) for my spares kit some years ago, to fit the standard plenum. Is it also the correct one for roller-barrels?On a related subject, what's the best way to replace it on an S3? I've not had to do this so far, but I can see there's precious little space under the RBs, and I'd want to avoid removing the trumpets etc if I can.JV
ScottR400D
Not much help but when I had RBTBs fitted the same (original 2015) throttle cable was used. It’s still there and I’ve been wondering about how I’ve might change it. As you say, not much room under the TBs, even with my SV.
John Vine
Thanks for that. It does seem I have the correct cable. As far as replacing it is concerned, I suspect I'm going to have to remove the trumpets and backplate (just like I had to do to replace the oil-cooler hoses). A perfect activity for a roadside repair in the rain! At least I'm prepared, as I already have the necessary socket and extension in my toolkit.JV
