... I think I already know the answer to this, but do I need to remove all throttle bodies etc in order to do this? I've had a look and everything is incredibly tight, but thought it worth asking the question...

My other hoses are already Samco black silicon - just his main hose remains rubber - probably because it is so difficult to get to!

Finally, is it possible to purchase just a single hose? All I seen so far are kits of hoses... any recommended suppliers?

Thanks!

Unless you can get at it safely from underneath, you will probably have to remove the throttle bodies to get sensible access. Did this on Anthony's car a few weeks ago. You'll need to drain the coolant before removing the TBs ....and suggest you remove the small air bleed hose from the expansion bottle and lower the free end to catch another half pint from the head. You'll need a new TB gasket when refitting. If not done already, drill a 3mm hole in the top (when fitted) of the thermostat baseplate to help air pass through when refilling. Photo available on request. ... did post it here recently.
