John Vine
Does anyone know the following precise dimensions (in mm, preferably) of the clutch actuating arm (1999 1.8K, Type-9 5-speed): 1. From the fulcrum to the centre of the aperture where the first motion shaft passes through 2. From the fulcrum to the centre of the cable-mounting hole I can guess at the values from a picture, but don't have the actual part in front of me (and the local Ford dealer doesn't stock this part!). TIA. JV
Mr Locust
No dimensions - I did write the Ford part no down if that helps?
John Vine
Thanks, Mr Locust, but the dimensions are what I need! JV
Hippy Crippy
If your clutch arm is the same as one that is fitted to a 2002 1.4K 5 speed type 9 the dimensions are: fulcrum to centre of input shaft 110mm fulcrum to centre of cable hole when fitted 280mm These are approximate as the arm is not straight. It is a ford part as it has the labels on. If you want any more information on the part number I can supply. Hope this helps. Have seen some jazzy hydraulic clutch slave cylinders that fit inside the bell housing over the top of the input shaft. See Burton Power catalogue for details. Possibly loads of money! John Vine
Thanks HC! Exactly what I need. FWIW, the later Mondeos ('94 on) have the hydraulic slave arrangement you describe. I wonder if they're the same? JV
