Boonie Hound
I am honoured to have my own thread - it's brought a tear to my eye. What exactly would you like to know? and I'll try and answer it if I can.
moomin
There are some new cameras going up on the A14 apparently, but there is no information about them on the Safety Camera website. Just wondered if you were able to tell me anything about them? i.e. are they permanent? are they SPECS? Moom. www.megabird.co.uk
Boonie Hound
Are you talking about ones near Milton on the A14? If so these are SPECS and are to protect the roadworks going on there. All done by the Highways Agency. There should be signs up and they will have the yellow boards so you can see them. They will only be there for a month and only used when the work is going on - as they are to protect the workers and motorists. There are no other new ones going up on the A14 as far as I know. Hope this helps but if not post me again and I'll try again.

Alex Birtwisle
I saw them today as I went past. I must admit, as a person who sometimes works in lane closures anything to protect the workforce is a good thing. There should be VERY loud explosions every 15 seconds too to wake up the sleeping lorry drivers on their way to/from the ports. One nearly killed me once as he swerved into the cones on the A12. 75 Cones were crushed and 2 cones were put through the windscreen of a stationary van.... mode> S713UMY 1.8K Viper Blue and Black
Boonie Hound
Blimey - close shave. I've heard about people throwing things at the workers from cars - that's just plain stupid and dangerous.
