Toby S
Sorry NS - What engine is that and what performance increase are you hoping for 25-35 brake + increased mid range torque?I've always wondered what increase you'd see if you supercharged a 1400 Supersport- mines one of the early ones - A 92 which you can't change the liners to increase the capacity - also would love to know if anyone has ever tried

ns1
Its a 1700cc Crossflow On the Dyno it made 181Bhp with 141Ft/Lbs of Torque. However we had more leaks than the Titanic. This it will make over 200Bhp at the flywheel. The engine and box have been moved back in the chassis about 75mmSpec: Roller Rockers 43 mm 6mm stem Inlet-Valves 31mm 6mm stem Ex-valves Double Valve springs Lightly ported cylinder head Forged Pistons Steel Rods Piper 270 Camshaft Duplex chain and Verniers gear ARP heads studs and nuts Head faced Cylinder block faced Crankshaft ,Flywheel, clutch cover balanced Titan Dry Sump Jenvey Throttle Bodies Rotrex Supercharger DTA Ecu Coolex IntercoolerThe plan is also to add Methanol injection as heat is a major issue. Considering the original engine was 110bhp its a huge increase. Will post additional photos at the weekend.
Jonathan Kay
Fascinating, thanks for the detail. The plan is also to add Methanol injection as heat is a major issue. In the mixture or in the engine bay? Is that intermittent or full-time injection? Do you know that the intercooler is up to the job?Jonathan
Jonathan Kay
Any recommendations for a custom manifold? Just the exhaust manifold or replumbing the entire system now that you've got the supercharger up and running?Jonathan
ns1
Just looking for a fabricator of the manifold. The supercharger done with the exception of the methanol injection . We are injection into the inlet manifold to reduce charge temperaturesNeil
elie boone
The easiest way is to go over the chassis rail, for a Zetec powered 7 i bought a manifold with a mounting plate to weld yourself to the tubes works fine with 190 bhp.
ns1
The install with without drysump tank. It tight! Will machine the inlet flanges by another 5mm and drop it a few degrees. I talked with Jenvey regarding injector dimensions. They are the shortest available.
