Slow Hida Posted March 11, 2003 Share Posted March 11, 2003 I need new tyres for my prisoner wheels. Tyre sze is 195/50 VR 15. I approached George Polley for a price on five Yoko A021's. They e mailed me back to say that A021's are no longer available in this size and recommended A048's. Being one of the ever shrinking breed of luddite X Flow worshippers, I really wanted a tyre that suited the ambience of the car. The A 048's have a tread pattern to suit the latest breed of Caterham, so would look a little out of place on a flare winged X Flow. I would appreciate any advice (and potential sources) on tyres which feature the type of block tread as seen on A021's and offer a similiar level of perfromance. Then you can get 70 profile A021Rs for very small amounts of cash. Also, if you can see the treads on a tyre, you're moving too slowly 😬 Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!
