2005 S3 1.8k Roadsport 140 - rear brake discs

Are the discs part number 208715 on the caterham parts site the correct replacement for a 2005 S3 Roadsport 140 k series?

Far as I am aware all cars use the old Triumph 232mm diameter solid discs, available from many sources.

But not if you have the upgraded AP 4-pot calipers.

rear discs are the same unless using the vented 2 pot AP rear brakes with no handbrake.

Most people change the two large 41mm 200 ftlb nyloc hub nuts when fitting discs - others just loctite them.

Removing the discs from the hubs can be difficult as the bolts have thinned down heads - socket tends to slip. Buy a cheap socket and grind the chamfered edge off the face so it fully engages with the bolt.

If you’re doing the pads too and have sierra callipers you’ll need a wind back tool.

Other things to look at / do whilst the hub nuts off - Wheel bearings, CV boots (still available from one of the German part sites) and diff output seals.

make sure you get a 6 point socket for the disc retaining bolts, a 12 point has significantly more chance of rounding the shallow heads off which will result in tears

My ground flat 12 point socket works fine. Its the chamfered face of the socket that causes the problem but agree a ground flat 6 point socket is safest option

Had a quick look on the Caterham parts site for the 41mm nylon nuts but to no avail - please will someone point me to a source...

Or eBay for Sierra hub nut. Left ha f one is reverse thread ie turn it anti clockwise to tighten.

Are the Caterham part reference 79085FIA the same bolts that join the rear hub to the disc?

Well that was easy - just met Chris from Redline Components at his storage unit to buy the hex head bolts I need. A 15 minute walk from my home. A nice bloke and great to have a very local spares supply...
