Heated windcsreen glass replacement? (CSR/SV size)

is the glass itself available anywhere to replace?  Rather than replace with complete new frame etc. (expensive), want ideally to replace the glass itself.  

When about to refit the screen assembly - having stored it 'safely(!)' somewhere whilst other work being done - found there is a large crack running across it.

Also, assuming it is possible to get the glass itself, any advice re. fitting would be very helpful.

Do you have w/s insurance?

You could try Tyneside, the folks that make CC's screens.  Maybe they would supply glass only?

Or you could try National Windscreens.  They offered me the option of glass only for a recent repair, but I don't know where they source it.  They did say it wasn't a Caterham part (the reason why I opted for the full CC screen).

Previous discussions of fitting the glass into the frame: definitely DIY.

If you're changing the seal NB the availability of the wrong size.

And there's a clever trick of fitting small electrical connectors to the wiring tail so that they will fit through the existing hole.

Many thanks for the advice.  I'll check (and cost) all the options out on Tuesday and then decide whether to get it fitted in the current frame or try it myself.  Either will be a lot cheaper than a CC replacement.
