Pop and Bang Map Settings

It has been a few years since my car was set up at Track "N" Road by the two Steve's.  At the time of the RR session I was asked if I wanted any pops and bangs but at the time decided to err on the side of caution as I did not have a map changing switch, so we settled on an occasional burble instead, which rarely makes its presence known.

Now time has passed, and it would be nice to have the option of a more vocal engine.  I have installed a 3 way switch and had a play with the 0 position TPS settings in both the Ignition and Injection Speed Sites, reducing both with the aim of getting a leaner mix passing through the engine and igniting in the exhaust.  The fuel cut off box is disabled. At the moment I am not having much luck.

If anyone out there has a emerald map which does achieve this could you let me know what settings are required.  Or even better send me a screen shot of the relevant speed sites.

The car is a DVA modified 1.6 with 1320 cams, Jenvey T/B's, a 4-2-1 exhaust (no cat) and an Emerald K6 ECU.

Thanks,  Steve.

Thanks RJ, That is what I thought and why I have reduced the setting in the Ignition and Injection sites, but it does not seem to have had the desired effect.  I have reduced the ignition down to 0 from 1750 rpm upwards and the injection to 7 from 1750 upwards.  I am thinking I may have leaned it off a little too much.

I don’t have the map settings but from memory I chose sites with zero throttle then chose a rev. range (say 3,000 and above), check there is fuelling at those sites and then delay the spark in the ignition map (so that the fuel misses the spark in the engine causing it to pop when it hits the exhaust).

Thanks Oily,

Are you referring to the check box at the bottom right of the Events page.  The original map from Track "N" Road had this box unticked. I assumed that this feature was disabled when it was not ticked so the original map was not cutting the fuel on overrun.  Or have I misinterpreted it and it should be ticked.
