Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted February 12, 2019 Leadership Team Share Posted February 12, 2019 I use a small bead of Loctite 5926 on both sides and never have leaks. Opinions may vary though!Stu.
TomB
Nick, if you want a piece of gasket paper to make a gasket, I've got loads Ill pop a piece in the post. When I built my engine, the original gasket was torn and held together with hylomar, I was supposed to buy a single sheet of gasket paper but ended up with loads! Shougle
Nick, Rimmer Bros do a gasket for about £2.50, half the price of Caterham Parts. I used it with a smear of non-setting gasket sealant, Granville blue, and so far no leaks. Rimmer part no. Elbow Gasket - PET10042Tony

Englishmaninwales
These usually leak because either the fixing set screws bottom out or the coolant rail mounting flange is not flat (or both as in my car).
