Tazio
My Filter King Fuel Pressure Regulator is leaking, theres nothing in it, just a diaphragm. Question is, does anyone know a suitable petrol resistant sealant I can use to put a smear around the edge of the diaphragm, to seal it?

Wrightpayne
Hmm - me thinks you shouldnt need to use sealant and something else amiss?Ian
Jim 123
Maybe the diaphram edge has started to deteriorate or hasn't been seated properly? Could it be the bowl seal instead? I'm with Ian, you might find a good petrol resistant sealant, but there's no guarantee what it might do if it is in contact with certain types of rubber
ECR
HYLOMAR UNIVERSAL BLUE 100G TUBE FUEL RESISTANT JOINTING GASKET SEALANT ......
Tazio
Thanks Roger, appreciated. There is no bowl on mine so no bowl seal, the diaphgram is the effective seal between the top and bottom plate, difficult to keep it square when putting the halves together, hence wanted something that can keep the diaphragm from moving and assist sealing. Dave J
I can’t see any sealant being a long term fix, no doubt it will fail at the most inoportune moment .I would replace with a decent unit like a bosch or such like .
Tazio
Dave, it's for a car with carbs, and there are not many regulators around, the sytec one has poor reviews, the filter king ( Malpassi) one, should be ok, very simple, but I have ordered a new diaphragm anyway before i give up on it.
