Alan Reeves
Has anyone had issues with changing from CR500 195 45 15 to ZZS 195 x 50 13Bearing in mind the ultimate demise of the CRs I will be looking at the ZZS but the gaps between my Cycle Wings right now are pretty tight, the gap of the front outside cycle wing to tyre is less than a littlepinky !I can go and get some 500s right now but the future is ZZsAlan
Garth
Alan I did this change without any work to the wings - you could try out my fronts to see how they fit!Garth
John Vine
Hi Alan,I had exactly the same worry, especially as the diameter of the ZZS 195/50-15 is about 3.5% larger than the CR500. However, it transpired that the shoulders of the ZZS are much more rounded (that is, less "square") than the CR500, and as a result they (just) fitted ok.JV

Garth
Sorry I interpreted your description 'ZZS 195 x 50 13' as being 13 inch rims - should it be ZZS 195/50R15?
Mexman
Hi yes I has issues the very edge of the side walls were catching on the wing support. Other people on here said to reposition the support on the wings, but with the costs of carbon wings I didn’t fancy taking the chance of damaging them by trying to remove them. This will probably make people cringe but I got a grinder on the support and ground it away until it was clear then primed it and satin black top coat, you can’t see it anyway as it’s under the wing, and as it was on the point were the support bends through 45 degrees and was pressed it’s not lost any of its strength. A bit drastic but if you take care it worked fine for me.
