Cracked front wings

Opinions please - I have just discovered two 50mm long cracks running from the leading edge on the offside front cycle wing. Easy to repair? or is it better to get a new wing and then try and match the paint colour? Another quick fix would be to wrap the leading edge with a carbon fibre wrap and cover the cracks?

Just get new black ones so they look like carbon when you fly past.

Mine are bolted to the wingstays - I put a rubber washer under the bolt head and between the wing and the stay to allow a bit of flex. Fine after 21 years.

Odd place to get cracks. I look at the wings as a consumable components, it's usually easy to replace rather than repair, but the cost is higher if you have a non standard colour. I would probably just leave it if the wing is still well attached and strong.

I have cracks on the offside front but at the back of the wing. Some road debris got picked up, smacked against the wing and disapoeared.

It annoys me, but I will leave it well alone until there is a bigger issue.

Mine are good with the same style of fixing after 17yrs . . . M5 stainless steel socket button heads - look good too.

Have you considered using the ABS versions which have a superb finish from Steve @ YC Plastics in South Wales - (ex Academy racer)

no bolts for me just Sikaflex holds them tight and avoids cracks

Bookatrack were selling off their ex-display cycle wings in various colours , I picked my Ballistic Orange one up for £25.

Unless you're skilled in the art, wrapping the cycle wings is no quick fix!!! Nightmare of a job.
