Seat Alignment

Recommended Posts

I am about to attempt fitting lowered floors in my superlite

Any Tips on location when drilling/attaching the support rails and drilling the adjustable seat mounts.

(I do not want to end up with multiple holes in the floor)

I am not sure how I could use the old floor as a template unless I cut it down to fit inside the new one.

Any help?

Thanks Steve

Can you simply place the seat in the car and get it where you want it to go. Check it is central between tunnel and side wall so it doesn't catch as you slide it forwards and backwards. Mark through fixing holes with a marker pen. Drill the front hole one side (the side with the adjuster mechanism) and push a bolt through ... then check the marking of the rear that side before drilling it.

Thanks

It would be nice if Caterham gave some indication on the floor where to drill to attach runners maybe two guide lines as to where the seat runners or tubing line up.(to center the seat in the cockpit)

That way you could a least be sure they are are centered on in the car
