CtrMint
Guys,While I was working on the build today I found a clutch hose in a box of misc bits.https://caterhamparts.co.uk/clutch-parts/3277-hose-clutch-cylinder-to-bellhousing-rhd-csr.htmlMy clutch etc came pre-installed with a longer clutch hose, and so I'm wondering, no panicking should I have swapped this over???Anyone offer opinion? Have I royally screwed up? I can't find any reference to it.Thanks
John Vine
Looks like CC have sent you a superfluous part (not uncommon). If your pre-installed hose looks like this:https://caterhamparts.co.uk/clutch-parts/2794-clutch-feed-pipe-r400.htmlyou should be ok.JV
CtrMint
Thanks for the response, yes the one fitted looks like the one you posted.Yeah CC confirmed the part isn't required. Good job I didn't swap it over. :-)
John Vine
Good job I didn't swap it over...Indeed. And it would have been doubly frustrating as, having lifted the engine and detached the bellhousing, you'd have discovered that the downstream banjo didn't fit the slave cylinder! You'll probably find that, at the end of your build, you'll have a pile of bits and pieces left over. After my two builds, I had a couple of bags of assorted screws, bolts, nylocs, rivets, spacers, washers, P-clips and so on. They came in jolly useful over the years!JV
