Fitting Front Cycle Wings

There was a metal plate at the bottom I need to remove, along with the beads???

Seems to have worked now, I've never come across that sort of stuff before.

Do I need heat + humidity?  Or heat and no humidity? to help set the adhesive?

I've got an oil filled radiator to keep the garage warm, but not sure on the humidity?  If it needs some, then I can leave boiled water in the garage to help.

CtrMint, no heat or humidity needed, it goes off by itself after a short while, about an hour from memory.

It is considerably easier to shift out of the tube in warmer conditions though, I broke a skeleton gun on my first attempt on a cold February morning. Mine also fell off, embarrassingly, as I was too kind to my wing-stays on my first attempt and did not properly rough them up to assist in the bonding. Take a file and hacksaw to them before you apply the adhesive and scrape about on the inside of the cycle wing to increase the surface area available for adhesion. And don't be shy with the Teroson.

Oh I took out all my frustrations on the wing stays, ground the powder coat off with a dremel bit, then rough it up further with a file, hacking with the edge of the file too.  I've done the task now, the adhesive doesn't look as smooth as I'd like but there's plenty on there so I'm comfortably confident.

Thanks all!
