Leadership Team RogNeedham Posted October 8, 2018 Leadership Team Share Posted October 8, 2018 Having consulted Rimmer Bros online parts diagrams, I am not convinced that the above mentioned bracket is a stock Rover item. Unfortunately the upper rearmost 'knuckle' containing the hex nut for the upper bolt snapped while touring in Spain a couple of weeks ago. An excellent roadside bodge (which is still holding some 800miles later), needs to be repaired properly.Following a different thread from another SLR owner, I have learned of a guy in Austria selling machined brack, pulley and tensioner bar for GBP270. Beofre I set of down that rather expensive route - is anyone aware of the correct donor vehicle source please?I only wonder if it is non-Rover part as the alternator has to sit forward of the exhaust primary and the nearside engine mount.any advice gratefully receivedCheersRog
revilla
Does the SLR use something different to this then? I know some of the earlier EU2 engines were different.
