Sandy
I'm still trying to dial out rear clunking and have so far replaced Watts linkage rose joists and ARB drop links but not solved all issues.Next on the list is the bellcranks which are about £45+vat ea from CC so wondered if anyone knew if these were a donor part or if there is an equivalent please? Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 29, 2018 Leadership Team Share Posted September 29, 2018 They're specific to Caterham.I eventually gave up trying to get rid of the clonks and ditched the Watts link and fitted standard radius arms ... can't say I noticed any downside in doing so. Still a few noises from the rear but definitely less.Stu.
John Vine
As Stu said, they're CC specific. But you don't need to replace the whole bellcrank (unless it's in terminal decay). The wearing items will be either the bolts, the rod ends, or the top-hat spacers.I find the NMB rod-ends ridiculously expensive, so I buy alternatives from McGill Motorsport.Of course, as I wear SNR37 earplugs at all times in the 7, clonks and rattles from the rear suspension hardly register!JV
Sandy
Cheers for the replies lads - I'll strip the bell cranks, do another spanner check and check the Prop
