Yes, I experienced the temperature increase when stationary. I confirmed the temperature was fine from an IR thermometer and wrapped the primaries, and changed the thermostat to an 82 degrees one at the same time. That was why I raised the question as to whether the temp read is accurate. I don't believe a standard rad isn't up to the job for a standard 1.8.

Mines sat at speed (and very high revs 6spd box and3.9 diff) on autoroutes in stupid hot summer temps for a few hours, and similar in stop start traffic around Lake Geneva for a couple of hours.  Fan in and out, but temp on gauge never shifted from 80 and a bit.

So it's not track use, but rock solid for road use.
