mcerbm
I have lost my breather on track recently, it must of vibrated out. I only noticed when there was a puddle of diff fluid on the paddock.I think I remember this part:https://caterhamparts.co.uk/differentials/4800-breather-de-dion-differential.htmlbut what size hose does it interface with. Has anyone got a better solution for a breather hose? I will order from car builder solutions asap as soon as I know the size as I am back on track on sunday. SimonR300
Mine has a screw in brass fitting with a push on hose which as you can see is quite long and is left open and vertical about 12" higher than the outlet. I gather the plastic item just pushes in and can be broken off. Maybe DPR Motorsport who ran this car fitted this breather if it isn't a standard CC thing.I've used this breather hole to suck out old oil with a Sealey 6.5L Manual Vacuum Oil and Fluid Extractor. mcerbm
That looks a much better idea. The plastic fitting vibrates loose on my car it looks to be just a push fit and a loose one at that. Where does your breather exit? Does it have a filter on it? SimonR300
No filter, it just terminates as an open hose secured into a vertical position on the chassis tubes along side the rear damper cover.
