jackb_ms
Hello All I need to make a water resistant 40 Amp (ish) at 12v DC. I have looked at the econoseal connectors which would be perfect apart that they cannot handle the current. The connection is for an electric outboard. Is there something on the market? Pointers and ideas would be most welcome. Jack
Area Representative Piers300 Posted August 19, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted August 19, 2018 Race cars without batteries have a quick plug in (male/female) connection for engine starting and this takes much more than 40 amps. I am sure you can search for this. Piers
Dr Slotter
What Piers300 is talking about are called 'Anderson jack plugs'.
David Belding
Merlin Motorsport have them. Search for “jump plugs”.
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 20, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted August 20, 2018 Same thought from me. I think every break-down service uses them.
