Cold Air

Recommended Posts

Running a 125 Roadsport, the air filter sits in the none too cool environment under the bonnet. Has anyone fitted a cold air induction kit to their car other than the Caterham airbox set up. I am not convinced it will make that much difference but stand to be corrected. I was thinking more of a K&N set up with a pipe to the front end to get what cool air you can. Also a bonus of not cutting holes in the bonnet.

Any thoughts tips and advice would be much appreciated

Hi James,

Space is really tight on the left side of the engine, I can't see how it would be possible to get a large enough duct to the front, and you would still have to be behind the radiator. The Caterham airbox is quite an elegant solution and only involves the one hole and moving the battery.

By the way, it is normal to be advised to search before you ask here unlike on some other forums *frown*

Thanks for that. I am being sent an article by a very kind person who has worked out a solution. Are you still running the standard airfilter or the airbox scenario.?

Search I did but couldn't find anything , most likely my total ineptitude!!!

Thanks for trying. Lots of us find the internal search difficult.

I use a site-limited external search, which in this case gave:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site:lotus7.club+cold+air+intake

or, with "Sigma" included:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site:lotus7.club+cold+air+intake+sigma.

You can fire off similar searches using the second link in my signature below.
