Sharon the Slapper
Two Creasey five speed close ratio helical gearboxes for sale, one with a short shaft suitable for a Rover and the other with a long shaft suitable for Ford or Vx. Both in perfect working order. Ratios on both are 2.8, 1.81, 1.26, 1 and 0.92. Top filler point and oil dipstick. Rover box was new 12 months ago and has seen 11 trackdays. Over the winter it has been completely overhauled, with all baulk rings replaced and slightly worn 2nd gear syncro replaced. Reason for sale is a move to a 6-speed following remapping. Ford/Vx box is brand new, boxed and unused, originally bought as a spare. £675 each. Available for any inspection in NE London. Glyn

Anthony
Is the VX input shaft not the same as Rover ? Thought only Ford one was a little longer than VX
Sharon the Slapper
Westy/Tavender - The K-series box is mine and is still for sale. The Ford gearbox is also still for sale, having been bought as a spare by Steve Parker of Steve Parker Racing (regular Low Flying advertiser and top man with engines). Please call Steve direct on 01279 647261 for further details. Anthony - I didn't think that the K-series box was the same as the Vx but that the Vx was exactly the same shaft as the Ford Crossflow. However, I am a driver not an engineer . Steve Parker will be able to advise.
