Cookie 71
Need to replace my 185/60 R14 Avon ZT5 tyres and thought I'd canvas opinion on what to go for. Was recommended Avon ZZS but they don't appear to be available in R14 size. Looking for a bit more performance, but not so much as to cause me to disappear backwards into a field at the first sign of moisture in the air. I have read a few other posts suggesting changing to 13 or 15 inch wheels, but that is not on the cards for the moment. Also any suggestions on where to buy them from gratefully received. Wrightpayne
Before I switched to 13s I had Toyo R888’s on 14” wheels and they transformed the car after Avon ZV3s. Really grippy in the dry, OK in the wet but beware of standing water.I have to same Toyo tyres in 13” currently.Ian
Roadsport06
As above.Toyo R888 will be better in the wet than what you have.
DJ.
I am still happy with Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 tyres. Less than £50 fitted, great in the wet including standing water. Not as much grip as 888, but they are grippy enough to be fun Duncan

SM25T
14" is an odd size in today's tyre market place.
