Emerald M3D connection advice

I’m trying to read the map in my M3DK, I have the emerald cable (continuity ok) and the emerald recommended usb to serial adapter, with updated drivers installed

i could not get any connection with the new software, but on downloading the older version I now can now get a connection, but it drops out every couple of seconds, so moving in the right direction!!

Any ideas what my next step should be?

if anyone else has the same issue, make sure you use the very latest software download from Emerald,

 

once i I had that it worked like a dream

As above also the new type cable as the early ones had problems, eithr way drop an email to Karl with the serial number of your Emerald and he will sort you out.
