JamesA Posted March 4, 2003 Share Posted March 4, 2003 I have had an order in for a set of CR500 for about 2 months now and the US distributor just told me the hang up is that Avon have changed the tyre. I was told they are changing from the old designation of 10767M to an update design desiginated 11176M. Has anyone heard about this? Are the two tyres compatable or should all four be of the same designation? Does anyone know what the difference is? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Miraz Posted March 4, 2003 Share Posted March 4, 2003 The only change that I know of recently was a change in compound to stop the tyres wearing so fast in the dry - the new tyres have a green stripe running through the tread to make them easily identifiable. I wouldn't mix compounds on the same axles, but you should be ok running different compounds at either end of the car. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
