Speedtrip
I've recently acquired a half hood for my car. As you'd expect it's so much easier to fit but how do you carry in/on the car when not in use? Just stuff it in the the boot or use a bespoke carrier?Thoughts/experience and any photos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.Andy
Jonathan Kay
In the dedicated SFBS fabric roll that clips to the rollover bar.Or did until it disappeared. Anyone got one that they don't need?Jonathan
DJ.
I have a softbits halfhood with the cover Jonathan mentioned. If the boot is full and/or the forecast is poor, I have the hood rolled up on top of the boot cover. With a good forecast and empty boot, I tuck the hood inside the boot, but keep the straps attached
SM25T
As per DJ. Always keep rear straps attached but slackened enough so you can attach the HH to the screen in seconds.
Speedtrip
Thanks guys. I'm thinking a full hood bag might easier.....
Wrightpayne
Half hood is tiny compared to a full hood - just shove it in the boot!Ian
Manstein
Normally shoved in the passenger foot well with the gin but in the boot with the straps attached makes sense.
Benton
Kept in a yoga mat bag .... boot, passenger well, behind passenger seat as appropriate
Stridey
Generally rolled in its sheath, with golf umbrella tucked into loops. On tour I might use full hood bag, with lightweight tonneau rolled in as well.If showery on trip, rolled into boot, straps ready fixed for quick deploy.Never used full hood. Colin Cooper
Just chucked in the boot, in its 'bag', and in a plastic bin liner. Only used in extreme conditions. The 'rotor' effect drenching the inner screen generally signals its use.Col
Speedtrip
Thanks all.I think I'll probably go with a full size hood holder. It has to be easier to store/remove the half hood and is much more versatile, if a little big.Cheers,Andy

john aston
It'd be like keeping a pair of socks in its own wardrobe . The half hood , folded , is not much more than A4 size and thus will fit just about anywhere.
