fatal3rror
It's a weekend of scraping the Waxoyl and putting Dinitrol under the car. How do I get the cavity wax into the pipes? Any recommendations?
elie boone
drill out a rivet and you can spray it in the tube, for tubes without any rivets, other you drill a hole in the tube and fit a rivet or u just do nothing.
TomB
Personally, Id not bother unless I was doing work that required drilling out rivets, then Id squirt some in. For examples when I fitted the sill guards I squirted some waxoil / ACF50 in. There are so many tubes and plenty of them don't have any holes/ rivets in so would be drilling holes in a perfect good chassis tube.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 25, 2018 Leadership Team Share Posted June 25, 2018 Any added rivets will allow more ingress of moisture - a pop riveted hole is not a water-tight hole.
fatal3rror
My thoughts exactly that I would be drilling too many holes if I were to do a proper job and it wasn't a route I wanted to go down. Just made sure there is enough Dinitrol under the car and the grot traps!
