GPBox Posted June 18, 2018 Share Posted June 18, 2018 HI all, about to take my first step from Caterham #1 to #2...stepping up to a K-Series R400.Want to refresh Cambelt + tensioner, water pump (while I'm in there) , DS belt and I also hear DS pump should be 'refreshed'...have changed my SS1.6 Cambelt etc a few times..so not worried about process...anyone know the right part number for the belts, tensioner (will it be manual?)also the DS is new to me..so advice on where to get parts/serviced pump appreciated...any other key thoughts ?thanks allGraham Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TomB Posted June 19, 2018 Share Posted June 19, 2018 Titan will service your scavenge pump for about £100. You need to remove it and send it to them and expect it to be away for a few weeks. If I were you, Id enjoy the car in the summer and leave it all alone until winter - then do the timing belt, tensioner & water pump (consider fitting vernier pulleys and properly timing in the cams at the same time). After you've established it all works again, drop the oil for its winter service, remove the DS scavenge pump and send it away for service.
