caterhamnut Posted March 3, 2003 Share Posted March 3, 2003 Temporary replacement starter motor playing up whilst ours is waiting to be fixed. Now have limited faith in reconditioning, so considering the comfort factor of a new starter motor. How much from caterham - std starter for a '95 K series 1.6SS. Starter motor must come from something more standard - so can one get a replacememt from halfords/ford etc? Then I think I will buy a new one for the car and clean up our old one as a spare. Alternatively I think they are a std Rover part - the dealer will know. Decent factors offer a recon exchange service also. There really is no need to lay out £150 at Dartford, unless you want to.
