Jonathan Kay
Where are the return springs? Is the inner cable sticking at all in the outer when you move it by hand?Jonathan
HendrixsWhiteStratReturns
Hi JonathanThe cable moves freely and is fine. There are no return springs on my pedal (which I've always thought is a bid odd ) the throttle return spring is fine (and new)
Jonathan Kay
So is the inner pushed back by the springs at the throttle end? And there was enough adhesion between that yellow metal barrel and the old cable end, but not the new?Jonathan
Stridey
Have you checked cable is routed through the clip beneath the spring. You mention return spring.... mine use two?
virden
I'd go with Stridey's suggestion, I have found it easy to fit the cable without the outer casing locking into the clip on the arm joining the the carbs. Another thought: have you fitted the big return spring the right way around? The coil in the middle should be facing outwards, not towards the block.
