TomB
We are getting a few stone chips on our nearly new Golf. Possibly thin paint or water based paint 'not -as-tough-as-it-used-to-be' water based paint. What is the current thinking on DIY chip repair? Is a stick of paint & a brush from Halfords still the best way? Or have things moved on? As the paint is otherwise in good conditions, and having got the GardX treatment thrown into the deal for the car purchase in December, Id like to treat the chips properly. I vaguely recall a discussion about some sort of transfer kit that painted & filled the chip rather than a blob of paint that over filled the chip & gave a rough finish.Hopefully the power of BC can give me some recommendations.
