On idle

What should a roadsport 1.6 ford sigma 150 bhp s.v warmed up sit at? What should it comfortably rev to in most gears still giving good response?

It only has 6000 miles im looking at getting it at the start of may.

950 RPM is the idle speed of the 150.

 

To get this set up properly you need the Easimap software and the correct lead.  It is a bit fiddly but a bit of time and patience will see you right.

Yep, just search 1.04v and you will get all the info you need to get it sweet.

150 will chug along at any revs above 2000 if set up properly but for reasonable progress use 3000 - 6000 and for rapid progress 4000 - 7200. Rev limiter is 7400 soft cut and 7600 hard cut. 150 has less mid range torque/power than the 140 but more at the top so needs to be `worked` more. You`re getting a bit excited now! Hope the weather improves, I was out with the aeroscreen on today....not great in the fog!

Mine would pull 5th from 1200 rpm.  Fantastic engine, and lovely noise.

Thanks everybody, ordering some soft bits directly to jon victors so he can pop them in the boot for me. Test drive on 11th/ 12h may super excited.
