Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 10, 2018 Leadership Team Share Posted April 10, 2018 Does anyone happen to know the sizes of the 3 bolts that fasten the alternator mounting bracket to the block? An owner local to me has lost at least 2 of the 3, heaven knows where!Stu.

Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 10, 2018 Author Leadership Team Share Posted April 10, 2018 That looks the same as the originals although I thought there were 2 different sizes, I might be muddling them with the d/s pump cradle bolts though!Stu. simon_h
Ste, If he has already got the bolts sorted would you be willing to let the all mounting bolts for the bracket and the all bolts/nuts for the bracket to alternator and adjuster go? I cant find any of mine in the boxes I thought they were in! Cheers, Simon
ste
If I still have them then you're welcome to them. I have a feeling I may have thrown the bracket and adjuster out though. Will check the garage....
simon_h
Thanks. TBH I primarily need the long bolt and nut that the alternator hangs off at the top and the ones with a spacer I think that the adjuster goes too. Any others would be a bonus but as they are shorter I might be able to get by. The actual bracket and adjuster plated part I have located
grumpy the 7th
Slight hijack............can you remove the alternator without taking the exhaust primaries off to get it out of the engine bay??
TomB
Does it depend which alternator you’ve got? The older bigger one with the fan on, or the smaller later one?
ste
Yep, comes out without removing the primaries.
