VDO fuel sender resistance

Can confirm the resistance readings for a vdo fuel sender unit please? I have changed to new style gauges but need to have it calibrated as it currently does not match either the vdo or caebont sender units. I think it is 10ohms empty 180 full?? Thanks

Can you find a part number or other identification?

If not then how about directly measuring the resistance empty and full?

No visible part number. Yes I could remove and measure but prefer not to as it is nicely sealed and these things tend to leak normally.

VDO advise it is 10 to 180 full

I'd go with that.

But I meant measuring the resistance across the sender in situ rather than removing anything... except the connection to the gauge.

Can confirm 180 ohms full down to zero when empty. You can't get the last 3 litres out though.
