brianmurray325hotmail.com
Well, it was still going great but blowing a bit of blue smoke out after ticking over a while, oh and a bit of oil leaking from the front left at the head gasket where the main oil gallery comes up from the block, oh yes, and the compression was down about 10psi on No1, head gsket was shot, but no coolant in oil or loss of same. Oil pressure is fine, runs all day long at 50psi.Mr Wilson pulled it apart, only 2 valve stem seals remained. A couple of valve guides installed, new stem seals, a smidging skimmed off the head to clean it up, valve seats cleaned up. Generally worked his magic and now...forgotten how good a Crossflow can be, its a little dream. Looking forward to a summer of fun. Well worth a couple of days at the health farm. Does anybody know where you can source the JR air filter replacemnt elements for the 40DCOE set up?
