Leebert
...do you change yours?I had the cam belt changed as a precaution when I bought my 2000 S3 Seven in 2013 when it had 14k miles on it. Now, 5 years later, it's only done 22k miles.I have a recollection that the cam belt should be changed every 5 years / 48k miles but is that over protective? Alternatively, is a change every 5 years a sensible move anyway because of the expensive outcome if it does decide to let go?Thanks in advance.Cheers,Lee

Leadership Team Midas Posted April 4, 2018 Leadership Team Share Posted April 4, 2018 I've changed mine every five years - as well as the cam tensioner. I do about 3000 miles a year, and no trackdays. However, on each occasion I have changed it, I have not seen any wear on the belt that is visible to the naked eye.
