Ted_7
Hello, Elie installed today on my 1.6K the SuperSport kit . The car is going well but the idle can't stand when the engine is warm. Well, sometimes it does, but sometimes not, it's going down, under 500 try to go up and then dies. Elie told me to cut off the engine, turn on the ignition and push 4 times completely the accelerator pedal. I tried it but I can't tell if it really goes better. Seems not. Any hint or tips guys ? CHRIS CLARK
I think what you are trying to do here is 'reset' the ECU parameters. First, turn the ignition on BUT DON'T start the engine. Then, slowly depress the accelerator full travel (to the floor) and allow back to the top stop back four times. You should hear a couple of clicks and whirrs as the unit sets itself. Right that's that bit done. If it still plays up you may have an IACV fault. (Idle Air Control Valve). Try the first bit first (!) & see what happens OK? Allen Payne
The ECU reset is to press the throttle five times, I'm not sure if four is enough. Regards Allen
