Area Representative Kingsley Young Posted March 23, 2018 Author Area Representative Share Posted March 23, 2018 Hi Jonathan The model is the Sport Horn ( Not the slimline model) I don’t know the current rating as I do not have the instructions as yet. I don’t have a multimeter , but I do know a man that has !I did see on my previous thread that DJ had fitted them maybe he could advise what he did. Kingsley. Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 23, 2018 Member Share Posted March 23, 2018 These might be the right instructions, but I don't know if they're current.Does your 7 already have a horn relay? (Let me know if you need the appropriate diagram.)Jonathan
Garth
Fitted mine a few years ago and they were a straight swap - cannot remember if I had to alter the connections, but certainly no relay changes (on a 2010 Sigma Roadsport)
Area Representative Piers300 Posted March 23, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted March 23, 2018 I have these on my R300K and direct replacement and with no wiring mods. They are louder than the standard horns.i think I had to extend the existing wiring.
DJ.
Hi Kingsley, I replied to your message, but though I would post here as well for general information. As Garth and Piers said they will run fine on the original wiring and are louder and lighter than the original horns Here is a link to a post by someone who actually tested the current draw on these horns:http://www.fjrforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114732Apparently both together only draw 5.5 ampsDuncan
