andyl
I have purchased a fresh air heater off here now looking at my bulkhead I assumed that I would remove the blanking plate and bolt in the heater. However although the vertical face of the heater will replace the vertical hole in the bulkhead and therefore allow the vents to workWhen I look underneath the heater there are two square holes, which the function rather defeats meMy question is, what do I have to do to the blanking plate to correctly install this heater?Pictures with thanks to Jonathan, I must say I am a newbie and I am very impressed with the helpfulness of the members, thank you! Wrightpayne
Andy,There are two small ish square holes on the horizontal (flat) part of the bulkhead. These are non adjustable and blows air down to your feet. The closeable vent section goes through the much bigger hole in the verticle of the bulkhead and blows air forwardsIan

andyl
Thanks WP but does that mean I remove the blanking plate completely?
Wrightpayne
If you look up from inside the footwell you should hopefully see the cut outs for the two small square holes which are covered up by the plate. Perhaps use a mirror !the heater is held in place with 4 machine screws going into rivnuts in the bulkhead. These may or may not be fitted. Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 20, 2018 Member Share Posted March 20, 2018 OK it didn't link, most forums allow you to preview but this one does not appear to?Forum User Guide. For those imgur images I loaded the page from your URL, then loaded just the image in a new tab, then got that URL.I think that it's now possible to display single images (but not galleries or videos) from every commercial service... Wrightpayne
Yes take the whole plate off. Its likely to be siliconed so find something to act as a cheese wire - kite string, dental floss.Ian
