crispinjscott63
This weekend I need to attempt to fit my Petty Strut, or more accurately find the hole behind the panel. If I have to drill out some rivets i will, but I read on an old Blatchat that this isn't necessary and i should be able to locate the hotel using a magnet. Any advice or past experiences would be most welcome.

Area Representative Andrew Gilbert Posted March 9, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted March 9, 2018 OK this is the info I had from a chap who did this to his SV"The threaded boss is 32mm vertically down from the top of the horizontal chassis tube (not the plastic trim) and 2mm rearwards from a vertical line drawn from the intersection of the same horizontal chassis tube and the angled chassis tube to which the dashboard panel is fixed. Verify with magnet and drill small pilot hole."
crispinjscott63
Thanks Andrew - really helpful.I'm doing the Caterham track day at Curborough on Monday and so i'm going to take the opportunity to look at some other cars and take measurements and then tackle the task next weekend.I hope it goes well for you.
