brianrsutton
I have a 1980 Caterham S7 with a Lotus twin cam in Australia and the brake master cylinder is piped to a cylinder with 2 pipes to the front brakes and 2 pipes to the rear brakes. it also has an electrical switch connection. Can any one tell me what this cylinder does as I would like to install an adjustable brake bias control. I have attempted to attach a photo but can't seem to achieve it.Brian Sutton

Jonathan Kay
What's the history of the car, and was it used for any type of competition? What type of brakes does it have at each end, do you think they are original, and does it have a cable-operated handbrake?Jonathan
Area Representative Piers300 Posted January 24, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted January 24, 2018 Brian.Redline would be the best people to contact (assuming you know who they are, as they advertise in LF). Your car sounds great. Piers
Molecular--Bob
Sounds like a 4-way splitter and hydraulic brake switch, which would imply a single bore master cylinder. Does your brake light stop working if you disconnect the switch?
