John Vine
I use Howard Leight Max. Cheap enough to be single-use, and very effective (SNR 37).JV
Strangely
Finding a good earplug to match your ears is tricky. I bought some sampler packs of different types, like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B1STC2C/I settled on 3M EARsoft FX, and bought a pile of them from eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-EARSoft-FX-High-Performance-Foam-Earplugs-SNR39dB/111123044912Unfortunately, I did this after buying a couple of well-regarded expensive non-disposable earplugs that just didn't work well for me.Jason. Mucus72
Have used custom fit ACS plugs for years and they are amazing. You need to get to a Boots audiology department and the whole process is fab. Speedtrip
I've bought a set of Shure SE 215 noise isolating ear buds with wired phone connectivity so I can listen to music and take calls. They're supposed to have an SNR rating of up to 37db and seem to be effective when compared to normal in ear protection. They're originally intended for use by musicians and alike. I've not had chance to test them in the car but expect them to be okay.https://www.shure.co.uk/products/earphones/se215m-spe
