caterhamnut
ok - just ordered some 48's from G Polley. Been very happy with 32's so far, and these are supposed to be better. Anyway - no one has any 185-60-14 in stock right now, but GP had suggested 195-60-14, which they do have. I had asked the question on here about the circumferance, because GP had said it was slightly bigger than 32's. Actual figures show its hardly an issue, confirmed by GP. I have forgotten which way round this is, but basicaly a 1mm incease on 21's, and 10mm increase on 32's (diameter this is) So - if you want 48's, its worth knowing they ARE around in a slightly wider size in 14" diameter. Tessa will test these tyres at Silverstone onSaturday!! 😬33,000 miles in 15 months! angus@tinyworld.co.uk Caterham pics here
WILL FLY
Angus Let me know how she gets on, I was thinking of moving to 048's when my 32's wear out. BTW here are the sizes from the leaflet I got of Yoko at Autosport A032-R Tyre size spec rim permitted rim width (mm) diam (mm) Circumference (mm) 185/60R14 5.5 5.5J, 6J 185 583 1778 A048-R Tyre size spec rim permitted rim width (mm) diam (mm) Circumference (mm) 195/60-14 6 6.5 201 585 1783 This is the closest size in terms of rolling circumference (only 0.28%) difference so should be alright. can you let me know what they're like in torrential rain, snow and standing water How much are they compared to 032s ? Any idea of comparative weight ? Roy See willfly.net for more info.
