Area Representative z7 Posted November 21, 2017 Area Representative Share Posted November 21, 2017 Just curious, how is the CO tester used?
apjenkins
Hi Z7Basically the sample pipe is inserted into the exhaust tail pipe, and exhaust fumes are sampled giving a CO reading typically 1 - 2% for carburetted engines. The manual explains the effects of enriching / weakening the mixture on performance and fuel economy. Electronic fuel injected engines are much more tightly constrained (closed loop / lambda sensor etc) making this analyzer only suitable for carb set up's. The kit is powered by a 12volt supply from the car battery.Regards,@ndrew
