Forged or 160 VVC Pistons

As the gudgeon pins are interference fit you'd want a set of 160 pistons with rods.

According to oilyhands / DVA the rods dont take kindly to having the pins refitted and they have been known to move with disastrous results. When he fits forged pistons he converts the rods to floating pin with circips to retain the pin. This involves putting a grooves in the piston.

When I enquired at a reputable caterham workshop they advised they keep a stack of old rods in case the pin is too loose on re-assembly.

I'd suggest a bit of research
