mcerbm
Does anyone know where I can source a gaitor for the clutch fork on a caterham dry sump bell housing (conning tower type). Redline dont do them and I cant find it on caterhams website.
Jonathan Kay
Is that different from the usual Type 9 gaiter?Jonathan
TomB
The standard one doesn't fit the DS bellhousing. I don't think one exists - I've not had one on my car.

mcerbm
I have the standard gaitor but it looks quite over size for the slot size on the bellhousing. I'll try and take a photo tonight and post.During the installation of my engine I dropped a washer from the earthing cable to the bellhousing when fitting the cable and it fell into the bellhousing so I had to split the bellhousing and engine while in th engine bay to get it, complete nightmare of a job. I'm now hyper aware of doing any work in the engine bay as it may happen again, I would rather have permanent protection.
Englishmaninwales
I usually stuff a paper rag in the hole when working around / above the clutch fork and remove after.
mcerbm
I currently do the same but ideally would have a more permanent solution.
jackb_ms
HelloI also do have anything to block the hole.I was thinking of using something like a draft excluder to do the job.Something like http://www.screwfix.com/p/stormguard-garage-seal-aluminium-2-5m/29327 Jack
mcerbm
I might try and trim down the original for part to fit the caterham bell housing and modify the boot spring if required.
