David aka Blue7
I have just fitted my new led rear light clusters which are brilliant (excuse pun), the replacement relay didn't work but Doug's suggested alternative was successful. However, the flashing sequence is now a bit slow which is probably due to the standard filament bulbs in the front indicators so I am going to replace them with led bulbs. My question is how do I remove the front indicator lenses? They look very similar to the rear light lenses on my old Austin A35 which were just held in place by the rubber surround seal. So are they simply prised out carefully with a screwdriver?David
Drumster
They're held in place by 2 screws, one each side on the front of the lens. If the car has been IVA'd it maybe that the screw heads are hidden behind some clear silicon.
David aka Blue7
Hmm I didn't see those, you could be right about the silicone, I will check ... many thanks!David
Manstein
I think they're LR Defender lenses David.
David aka Blue7
Job done, the self tappers had indeed been covered with silicone for some reason so hidden from view. Good job I didn't try to prise them out with a screwdriver!
